Hello guys! I am a newbie to this forum as you can see. I have been doing DVD Authoring before profesionally, but do not have as much experience with editing.

I am using Adobe Premiere CS5. I shot all of the footage on a miniDV HDV tape using the Canon XHA1s (that i recently purchsed as used)

Ok, so here is the scenario. I shot a wedding. I captured the footage on my laptop via premiere, transferred all of the footage to my external HDD. Then transferred all of my footage to my desktop PC which is running 8GB ram, Intel Core 2 DUO, 1TB HDD.

Now I am in th editing phase. I have noticed throuughout the video, about every minute, I See a clear line that comes in the entire frame of the video and it runs from the top to the bottom of the frame. I didn't notice it on my laptop, but when I started editing it on my PC, now I notice it.

Can someone please help me out here?

Should i re-capture the footage, to the PC directly instead of my laptop? or do you think it's some other issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

a screenshot of the problem in premiere might help. try identifying one of the frames in premiere and then playing the original in vlc to that frame, pause and see if it's in the source also.
