    HI all

I just built a new media centre and i have loads of tv series dvds i would like to rip to my media centre so that i can pack them all away as the wife is sick of them all.

so the question is what do i need to rip these dvds into

1 there own episodes meaning i want each episodes separate as all of my dvds have a few on each
2 have then compressed down to divx format (and what good options to use to get the best picture)

thanks to anyone who helps on this as it looks like a big task and want to make it easy as poss

    cheers

Well if you look to up and to the left of the main page here there's a "How To" section with guides for pretty much anything you'd want to do with video. To answer your second question, if you want the best quality you're better off converting to x264/avc. Here's a link to a guide from the How To section that uses Handbrake for the conversion process:

    http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides/dvdrip/235-convert-dvd-to-h264-mkv-mp4-using-handbrake

There are a bunch of other guides that use different programs. If you don't like the one above, try out a different one. Hope that helps.
