Hello! I am new to filming and desperately (of course) need some advice! Thanks for any help here!
    Goal:
Transfer video from the camcorder to my PC for editing in Vegas, then be able to play in different medias as crisp as possible (youtube, DVD, Bluray)

    Problem:
When I transfer to PC using supplied Pixela ImageMixer 3 SE and USB cable, I can’t find a way to get the videos into Vegas. The files have the extension “.cpi”. So they are now sitting in the Imagemixer library, where I can watch clips via their player (yuk).

    Question:
Can someone please tell me what to do? HELP!!! I’ve scoured the internet and cannot find a clear process…I would love to understand the different formats and when they are used (MPEG, CPI, etc).

when you plug the camera in with the usb cable it should show up as a hard drive. or take the memeory card out and use a card reader hooked up to the computer. copy and paste the video files to the computer's hard drive where you will remember you put them. you only need the large video files, they might end with .mts or similar. then open vegas and then drag them into the project media bin.
