Find a company that does stock video and apply there. You can't just shoot random video and expect to sell it.

Well, unless it's some skateboarder face-planting, or a kid high on Novocaine after the dentist.

You probably have to factor in that there are people much more talented than you doing it and there are legions of them.

Thank you for your suggestions and I know there is a lot of competition. Friends have suggested that the videos are actually pretty good but of course.... That's what friends are for. It sure makes for a fun hobby anyway. Don't really know what a stock company is but I guess I'll head in that direction. Thanks again.

  4. You can start by uploading the video to YouTube and pay to promote it, it will get more hits and generate interest.
Also contact companies that produce sportsman videos, I think that's what Supreme2K means.

You can sell stock footage to most sites the provide stock footage to buy. People buy stock footage to use in various projects. It's a huge timesaver.

There are dozens online, just do a google search eg.

Thank you for your response MovieGeek. I suppose I have a million other questions. Adding music to the video is a concern. Do you know if the music that comes with the editing programs would cause problems for use other than private use? Do I need to talk to a lawyer?

Deathray... I suppose that would be a lot easier than setting up a complete video. Not as much legal stuff to consider either. Thanks for the help.

Sometime it is better to be lucky than good but I would rather be good and lucky. Thanks for the help.

The music should be ok for commercial use, you can also search online for "royalty-free" music.
