    Gents:

I’m presently facing yet another task/mission which will be new to my experience & am welcoming suggestions, ways and means as to how best accomplish this goal.

    Please allow me to explain.

I have some material which is to be:

    1) Extracted from a DVD which will consist of a VOB (or 2) and part of another.

    1) At least 1 (maybe more) of those VOB’s will require a manual cut to edit the starting and ending points to reflect the program segment contained therein.
    2) Next step is to take the extracted VOB’s + and then convert them at the best possible quality to an standard .avi file.
    3) The newly created .avi’s will be placed on a Premiere timeline with my footage and graphics and then joined together as needed.

Any pointers, help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much,
    Bruce

  2. 1) Use any DVDDecryptor, Get Decrypted VOBs on HDD.
    2) Use your Favorite Video Convertor. Convert VOB ---> AVI.
(You can Open/import VOB in AVIDemux too!)
    3) Use AVIDemux in AVI (Copy audio, video), and clip required part of AVI.
    4) Use clipped AVI in Premiere Timeline with new footage and graphics.

  3. You could do it the hard way or just follow these guides to open the VOB in Premiere:
