I've been attemping to get my DVC 170 to work for

awhile now and I'm still having no luck. I installed

the corret drivers meaning I installed the

"PCLEUSB2x32.exe" and then restarted. Then plugged in

the device and Windows installed its own which I found

    a bit weird.

I then attempted to update the driver and pointed it to

the "PCLEUSB2x32.exe" and it found that the DVC 170

already had the latest driver. So I thought fine I'll

try and used it plugged in my 'Y Splitters', 'Xbox 360

Composite Connectors', and the AV Output cable into my

HDTV. I tried the device it two different programs

'Windows Movie Maker' and 'Song Vegas Platinum 9' and

got an error in both which I believe to stem from the

    same problem.

Anyone know what is wrong or how to fix it, by the way

    I'm using Windows 7 32-bit.

    Thanks in advance

I believe both windows movie maker and sony vegas expect a DV device that is connected with firewire to the computer and can not use an USB capture device like dazzle dvc-170 that is limited to MPEG1/MPEG2/MPEG4 formats.
