large files do not copy from 550d to pc

Hello,
Large files recorded with my canon 550d do not copy to my pc. I have started a tread on dvinfo (http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/canon-eos-rebel-t2i-eos-550d-hd/478321-not-copying-files.h...ml#post1525245), but to no avail. Anything bigger then 850 Mb is not copied. The large files DO appear on my harddisk BUT with 0 KB.
Any suggestions what I could try?

Card Reader to PC?
Using SDHC cards or regular SD cards?

From camera to pc.
SD cards class 6 and 10. Both cards give the same problem.

I've never gone directly from camera to PC....well I did once and it sucked.
Use a card reader.

I meant SDHC class 6 and class 10. I don't know if that makes a difference.

I had problems with SDHC cards at first....then I bought a new card reader and all is now well. I use them in my Canon portable camera and my Nikon D90. I haven't shot any HUGE movies yet with my D90 so I don't know if I also have the same type of problem as you.
