    looking for an MKV Cutter, preferably freeware, that has a preview window so I can take a 7.95 H264 .mkv file and convert to 2 BD5 into AVCHD.

    does such a program exist? or do i have to convert first to mp4 then cut with something like mpeg streamclip? sometimes I convert mp4 to avchd and the frames look to be in slow-motion perhaps at 95% of true speed. The original file is a football(us) game and I want to cut it at halftime.

    my search says to use avidemux but that pops up an error saying that I will lose frame accuracy..so I don't really want to use that.

    any suggestions are welcome, thanks!

    Try dsmux / gdsmux, it is included in haali media splitter. It has a very basic preview with cutting.
