To Whom it may Concern;
I need Manual/s, Firmware Update/s, Driver/s for a SONY DVD/CD REWRITABLE DRIVE UNIT MODEL # DW-U18A.
If anyone is familiar with this UNIT Please respond, SONY doesn't offer ANYTHING on this product!
I also tried Driverguide.com & they weren't any help either! Please help! Thank You!

Pretty old drive, no? New ones are cheap ya know. And the only drivers you need are the basic Windows drivers.

Anyway, That's a rebadged Lite-On, the SOHW-812s, and I'm pretty sure the Sony DRU-810a is actually the same unit. It's in the list partway down this page, along with the other various rebadge names. Here:

I'd first try updating via ImgBurn: Tools -> Drive -> Capabilities. You'll see the firmware version listed, and can try letting it find a firmware update for you.

Any particular reason you want to update the firmware? Like newer media I.D.s not being recognized, or what?
