I was recently given a Sony VO-9850-TC player/editor and a stack of tapes of my friends wedding and band concerts from the early 90's. He was hoping I could find a way to grab and convert the tapes to a digital format for him so he could make DVDs for his family and friends of these times past. I have no idea where to start, but am will to spend money to get it done for him.
The outputs on the back are not ones I am familiar with, and there are separate ones for audio and video. I found a PDF of the specs of the player if this will help.

Please help! Much obliged!
