    I notice that whenever I rent a TV series they are always out of disk 1. Any guess why this is.

    If you rent more than one disk from a TV series the default Netflix uses is 1.2.3 etc unless you change the order. Also if that is the way they appear in the queue than they will not ship 2 until they ship 1. So 1's are usually in short supply followed by 2s and so forth. They have no provision to ship them in random order.

    But some are available for streaming, you could get disk one that way.
