    Can you update the version of ffmpeg that ffmpegX uses? I notice that ffmpeg is at v0.5. But the last update to ffmpegx was in 2008.

    If you update the version of ffmpeg that ffmpegX uses, then the GUI won't reflect any changes, which may lead to a few unsolvable problems.

    I emailed major nearly a year ago. He told me that ffmpegx is not dead, just slowed down a lot. He is very busy but hopes to resume development someday. I'm still hopeful that version 1.0.0 will be released one day.
