  1. On the pictures of Sanyo 4400's that I see online, it looks like the "tape speed" switch has 3 positions. Does the Sanyo 4400 play back BI, II, and III?

    Having received my 4400 yesterday, I found that the switch has 2 selections - BII, and BIII. The writing on the center-top of the switch also says BIII, with a light under it - I guess indicating that the recording was done in BIII. What use there is for this is up to the imagination.
    Anyway, no, it doesn't play in 3 speeds.

    Yep....I have several beta machines, use to have one of these betacord(as they called it). I much more prefer my Sony SL-HF750. It's image works great even on my 42 inch HD Plasma. Check out one of the Beta sites that are out there for info.
