1 - I want to organise all my photos, both digitial and scanned so I can use windows media center as a hub to display them. They are organised in folders (e.g. Decemeber 2009) but all files are generically named (e.g. olympus 1, 2, 3 etc etc).

What is the best way/program to add tags to my images so I can quickly search through them? Since they are in common folders can I add a tag to all files in afolder (e.g. tag all files in December 2009 with December 2009?) and then add individual tags to those files (December 2009 auto done, then add names and places so total tags are December 2009, Bill, Amy, Mums House)?

Also is there a good way to add an 'exclude' tag to photos, there are some nice family pics that contain images of past partners that certain people may not want to see again, can I add an exclude tag and all photos with exclude are not added to the list when exclude is selected?

As I have hundreds maybe thousands of images I only want to do this once!

2 - I have Photoshop CS4, I know someone with photoshop elements and there is a feature in that that automatically removes all red eyes and saves an alternate file (doesnt affect the original, saves second file). I have since learnt that the full blown PS which I have excludes this feature, I do not want to do it manually to all photos, is there way to automatically do it? It seems strange you pay for the full version and dont have all the features of the cheap basic version!

3 - I also want to tag my music collection which is in MP3 format. Pretty much same as my photos, best way to bulk add tags.

4 - Whats the difference between using Windows Media Center and Windows Media PLayer to view photos/music, both seem to have easy search and play features?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Actually, it isn't strange that the full version of photoshop doesn't have it. Photoshop elements is made for home users - non-professionals - and so has been tuned and tweaked for that market, including things like red-eye reduction tools. The full version of photoshop is aimed at the professional market, and has professional tools. Red-eye reduction is something that pro's rarely have to deal with, and if they do, they are happy (and prefer) to do it by hand.

If you do a quick google for 'free red eye tools' you will find dozens of free options, including plugins and actions for photoshop.
