  1. I used to hang around in this videohelp.com site, learn good stuff. At that time, I almost brought the Pyro A/V Link (while WinXP was in reign). Glad I didn't buy it yet. I now, of course, using Win7 Pro (32bit on PC, 64bit on laptop). I think I will be doing most of my video work on the laptop, but also on my PC that I haven't revived yet (will be a 64bit).

ADS Pyro A/V Link has Adobe software (which was my target point of wanting to buy it), for a good price. Bad thing is it quotes "XP only" software.

So, I am kindof looking for a capture device once again, for Win7. I am aware that I still can buy the Pyro A/V Link "hardware" alone and buy the Adobe Photoshop/Premiere Elements for $100ish, not a problem. Now, I am reading that Canopuse ADVC-110 has better and stronger capturing while some have little issues with the Pyro A/V Link. The Canopuse is little expensive, but if that's the best for what I am intenting to do, gotta do it then. Maybe I should just buy video component cable and use the RCA from camcorders or other devices? I have used serveral Pinnacle capturing equipments, and it's problematic (drivers).

I am planning to capture few VHS (I have just few VHS left, and also few Hi8 left). Once that's done, then I will only need the analog for when others have something for me to extract the video from. I am doing a website that will involve short clip videos, so from time to time, I will encounter some analog tapes.

BTW, I am buying a camera that have 1080i AVCHD. I guess I will simply use the cardreader to download pictures and videos (SDHC). Yet, will need a software...

Maybe I should attempt to use TMPGEnc (or programs build for Videohelp.com). I like to use something simple, so thats why I am looking at Adobe Photoshop/Premiere Elements. I am not a "camera guy", but have a picky eyes when looking at photos/videos. I will mainly crop, cut, remove red-eyes, etc... not too much of Hollywood effects.

    Any suggests or helps? Thanks.

    Chuck
