note that this isn't like all the sci fi suspended animation where they freeze you until they can cure you (i believe disney's corpse is frozen in the hopes that one day they can bring him back to life, good luck with that one), this seems to be a more practical take on it where they use a gas to slow your metabolic rate, which would eliminate the problems of frost bite and freezer burn that you would experience if frozen.

my only concern is that if the hydrogen sulfide bonds in spots normally occupied by oxygen then doesn't that mean that the oxygen in your brain would be replaced with hydrogen sulfide thereby leading to brain damage? also where does all the oxygen that's being displaced go?

lastly do you think you would wake up smelling really bad?

the article also makes one mistake, bears don't hibernate, not in the truest sense of the word, they go into deep torpor, but why split hairs.

The Disney cryonic story is an urban legend long since debunked.

Let's see if this scales up at all, and if it can be repeated by other labs and get the same results.

There is a more detailed run down here and Mark Roth's official lab pages here

The intention for this, at least in the short to medium term, is not long term stasis, but short term medical applications - an extension of the current process of induced medical coma.
