    Hello,

Anyone have experience with the HDI Dune players? I am getting ready to buy a HDI Dune 3.0 soon. Have a few questions about it.

Can you password protect or lock out a movie or file?

Can you separate the movie thumbnails from your pictures? My WDTV live & Seagate link all of the images(Thumbnails for movies & music to my personal pictures) together.

Can you chapter skip these movie file formats .avi .mkv .mp4 .iso? What ones can't you chapter skip?

Will it play true HD audio through HDMI?

    Thanks

  2. Why would you buy that, when you can something better, cheaper?
    £319 = 3 x wdtv live + 500gb disc

*this answer is good for every question
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

I have two WDTV lives one is a plus and I also have a Seagate. They are great for the price but I am looking for the best this time around. The reason the Dune is Superior to these is that they can play FULL Blu-Ray iso files with full dvd menu support. They also separate pictures from thumbnails and have a awesome graphics for movie display. I found out now that they can chapter skip almost all file types that have chapters. They also support esata and you can run a unlimited amount of external drives esata or usb. They also have a gitabit Ethernet connection. 100 times faster then the WDTV live or Seagate. You can also go to use torrents and a ton of other website like Pandora Utube There are alot more advantages I am sure I will find out after I get one. Check them out you will be impressed.

I have heard good things about the Dune series too. It doesnt seem like there are many problems with it. I dont mind paying the price if it is easy to use without any problems. The AVS forum has a whole section on it.
