How do you go to folder options to display hidden folders in Windows 7? I remember it was in the upper right side in Win XP, but 7 is set up differently.

I change the 'View by:' in 'Control Panel' to 'Small icons' and you should see the 'Folder Options' folder, along with all the other folders, then to 'View' in the Folder Options page.

while in any folder press the alt key and the hidden tool bar will show up top.

you have to go to "Control Panel" and then "Appearance and Personalization" and then "Folder Options".
Usually this is available right in the window when you open up a folder.....unless they have changed it? -
aedipuss, thanks! I did not know that. Was alt key the same in Windows XP? I remember the tool bar was always present at the top in XP......Win 7 removed it for some reason.

haha, i dont get why these seattle guys think it is better to remove it completely? It was easier to have the toolbar there.

MS has always known what you need and want and they will put it in the OS whether you agree or not.
I see most of those relocation of files as a big PITA and not an improvement. At least they got rid of the stupid Vista 'trash can delete' and now have just a one click button to shut down the OS.

You can also click on organize/layout and check menu bar and then you can go to the top bar and choose tools/folder/view options, that gives you back the toolbar you used to have in winxp, just wish they didnt remove the disable auto arrange for folders.
I think,therefore i am a hamster.
