Ok guys I finally put my new computer together and got the mofo running with win 98 se. only problem I can see is that I can no longer drag and drop files on my cd rw drive. NO..I donot have a adaptec software and my question is >>> is that why I can not drag and drop any more?
any help would be appreciated..

yep, Adaptec Direct CD, makes your burner act like a HD
and it's poo nero will not work with direct CD
