I have a question that I cannot find the answer to. I am using TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 to burn some DVDs. I am using Verbatim DVD+R discs. When I set the output size to "single dvd 4390MB" and burn the DVD I end up with a large ring of unused space left on the disc. When I look at the back of the disc itself (the burned side) I can see a ring about a half inch wide still unused at the outer edge of the disc. I know standard DVD usable space is only supposed to be 4.39GB, due to the conversion difference. But why does there appear to be so much empty space left? Also when I put the disc back in the drive and check the used space it says I only used 3.17GB. Is there a way to change this so it uses the entire free space on the disc?

When you choose the output size, you are just choosing what type of blank disk you are using. You are not choosing how much space to fill on the disk.
