    Hello,
I am about to capture selected footage from 40 hours of HD video material shot on a Sony A1U camcorder.
Can anyone please recommend a HD player/recorder?
There are several Sony models, do they all have the same quality of playback? and are all equally durable?

Thank you for any insight you can provide.
    Thank you,

You mean a tape player? You can play HDV (m2t) files from a computer or selected media players.

This is the only one I know unless you want a >$2000 broadcast model.

Thanks, but I prefer to save my video heads and camera motor for shooting, I've 40 hours of material, so viewing, rewinding and frwrdg and capturing will put a lot of wear and tear on the camera, that is why I prefer to use a deck/player to capture from.
    Thank you,
