Does anyone know of a device/product that can clean and repair discs? DVDs, game discs, CDs, etc.
My kids have done quite a number on their game discs and their movies. With the games costing $50+, we really don't want to replace them. Our local Gameworks used to be able to repair them for us, but they have all closed down and we don't know exactly what they used.
The ones that don't work anymore (some of them fairly new) have scratches in them. A couple even have gouges. *sigh* My youngest is destructo boy. *shakes head*
We have this manual thing that we use to clean them, but I'm looking for something that hopefully more automated. That hand crank can wear you out pretty quick. LOL
Thanks!!

I use a cheap car paint buffer with the disc on a rubber pad. Works fairly well.
Scratches aren't too hard to buff out. Gouges respond better to Brasso polish and a cotton ball. Once you get them smoothed, you can clean up the rest of the scratches with a crank 'grinder' or just a light polish. But the buffer works very well.

The best thing to do is just take them somewhere and have them resurfaced. I I just go to the local Hollywood Video and they do them for free, I do know the store manager. The Game Crazy side of the store charges a whole dollar I think.

Bjs are you sure you bought the machine and not just the polish and pads,I only ask because the same machine is £895 plus vat here(RipOff Britain) and the webpage states"Disc-Go-Devil Single pack of consumables includes 1x 500ml bottles of polish and 1x sets of pads. " note the word "consumables". If you do get the devil as well please let me know as I will see if they will let me import one.
