Doesn´t Nero make it vcd compatiple?
I made vcd´s whith Easy CD creator 4 of .mpg files ond they where fine.
But version 5 of same prog seems to have trouble with this. -
What is the format of the movie that you downloaded, (MPEG1/2, Framerate, resolution?)
I have used Nero to burn VCD's with no problem, but they must be to the correct specification, (I.E: MPEG1, 25FPS[PAL], & 353v288).========

I am sure it is 352*288 but how can I tell for sure and the frame rate too, and if they are not vcd spec which I am sure of what can I use to convert it. also the audio prob isn't 224Kbps

Uncheck Standard Compliancy in Nero.
or
Try VCDEasy (it does Standard and non Standard automatically) -
Yo people if someone can tell me what happened to me burning with nero> I encoded 2 MPEG videos that were originally avi files, they came up with better quality after using TMPGenc. but it costed me Big file size! from 100MB to 350.. ahhh!
ok i placed them in NERO for a SVCD and i also made the autorun i saw in one tutorial in here> in the meter that shows the amount of size i was using it was about 700 MB,
when i finished first of all the Autorun sucked because it opened a somekind of windows Media player that couldn't play the files.
and when i clicked on my drive where i had the SVCD it showed that i was only using 1.80 MB?? so theres suppose to be more space to put right?
so can anyone tell me what i did wrong with auto run and the other stuff please tell me because i need to burn other two MPGs..
and forthe one that wants better quality qwith his video use the filters, they are good, especially the Blur one and the border something/ in TmpG!
Peace!Peace Love and Technology!

I had problems burning my mpegs to VCD but a little playing around & got it working nicely. Not too complicated. I found that alot of downloaded mpeg movies had something wrong with them and wouldn't burn properly. I found a nice little program called vcdgear. If you select "fix MPEG errors", and then select from the "video-cd" button "mpeg to cue/bin (cd-image)" this will convert your .mpg to .bin and fix any errors. Then I select the "vcdgear" button and from the pull down "cue/bin to mpeg", check "fix mpeg errors" and convert it back to .mpg. Then it's easily burnt to CDR using VCDEasy. They're both free programs. Let me know how it turns out.
