I'm trying to convert a blu ray rip (M2TS file) to Xvid/DivX and have tried the following software:
MeGUI
Handbrake
Dr Divx
Divx 7 converter
Xillisoft Video Converter
Xvid4PSP
Super
Quite a list! The problem is that using any of these the program will always crash in one way or another.
This is on a fresh install of Vista x64, and I also have the CCCP codec pack installed, if that makes a difference.
I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, or if anyone could shed some light onto why this is happening.
Thanks.

I only have a couple of Blu-rays currently, just starting my collection.
Either of these will cause the crash to occur. I have tried playing them in VLC and Windows Media Player with no problems what so ever.
I havn't tried any other type of sources as of yet.
They were both ripped using AnyDVD HD.
Oh another thing I forgot to mention. I loaded each of these into tsMuxer and took out all the extra audio, subtitles etc that I didn't want or need and then remuxed the remaining parts back to M2TS.
This left me with one M2TS containing H.264 video and AC3 audio, and the other M2TS with VC-1 video and AC3 audio.

OK I seem to have gotten MeGUI working (kind of).
The convertion complete and the video looked great, but... there was no sound!
I've had a look around for a tutorial in using MeGUI (I'm new to all of this) and using it to convert an M2TS file to an AVI with xvid, but found nothing.
I used the script creator in MeGUI and done the following:
Selected the M2TS as the video input.
Pretty much left everything else as is, except I edited the script to set audio=true.
So the final script I had looked like this
Code:DirectShowSource("C:\B\Bourne Identity\Bourne Identity.m2ts", fps=23.976, audio=true, convertfps=true) #deinterlace #crop #resize #denoise
Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Ah! the Muxing option.
How did I miss it!
I guess that's why I'm posting in the newbie section
