Hi there, here's one I think (or rather, hope) somebody here can help me with. I am using a Sony Hard Drive camera, and recorded a sports event last night. I usually don't have to let the camera run for more than 20 minutes at a time...last night it had to run for just a little over 30 minutes. When I downloaded the footage onto my Mac, I noticed that at a little over 30 minutes the camera had to make a new video file, no big deal I thought. When I dumped it into Final Cut Pro, I noticed that there was about a 1/2 second of missed footage when it made the new file. Big problem. I am trying to do a multicam edit, and since there was a disturbance for that 1/2 second I will be forced to re-sync everything again with the second file it created and then put everything together, like a puzzle afterwards. (I have done it before, but it's a pain in the ass!).
So the question here is, how can I make those 2 files (with the blip of 1/2 second) into one, which then I can edit using the Multiclip tool on Final Cut? I understand that I will have that 1/2 second with black (no big deal) and I'll have to sync it with the other clips (no big deal). My question is, is it possible? Or would I just be better off taking the second file, syncing that up and then putting it together like a puzzle as I have done before?
