    Hello Everyone,

First off, I love the program. I have been using DVD slideshow GUI for about a week to make a sideshow of my daughter's wedding and reception, and have been really happy with how it has turned out so far. Last night the program crashed with an error, that unfortunately I didn't write down. I'm a computer tech, so I know I should have. When I reopened the software, and tried to open my project, I found that the .dsg file had disappeared. I search the whole hard drive, and even ran some data recovery software, but the file is just gone. The only backup I have is of an .iso I made to see how the sideshow looked so far on DVD. Does anyone know if there is a way I can recreate the project file form the .iso, or do I pretty much have to start from scratch? Also has anyone had this happen before, and if so how can I avoid this issue in the future, besides backing up of course. Thanks in advance for any help, anyone could provide.

    Steve

What program are you referring to? You seem to have left that out.

    And welcome to our forums.

Sorry about that, I guess that was an important piece of information. I'm using DVD sideshow GUI. Thank for pointing that out.

I changed your topic title so it shows that. You can also adjust your first post by clicking on the edit-button.

Maybe "Slideshow" would be more likely than "Sideshow", unless you have a bearded lady, etc to display.

That will teach me to blindly trust spell check. No bearded lady, just wedding photos.

  8. I have no idear how a dsg file could have been deleted. The only thing I can think of is if you are using Vista and if you saved in ex. the Programs folder and don't run DVD slideshow GUI as admin.

The iso file is finished dvd structure and therefore is it impossible to extract a dsg file from that.
