Hi there,
I have a problem when playing a (X)VCD in my stand alone DVD player (pioneer DV-626D). The sound is ok, but the picture is black and white. When playing the VCD on my computer everything is alright.
I used TMPGEnc toconvert DiVX to VCD and used several settings, but probably not the correct ones. I want to view the VCD on a PAL system.
Any suggestions?

It sounds like you have encoded the VCD using NTSC settings. Create a VCD using the PAL VCD template in TMPGEnc. This should show up in full colour on your PAL TV.

Willem, thanks for the advice, but that was also one of the opties I tried. However, my DVD-player has a swith which can be set to PAL/NTSC/Auto. Its original setting was auto, but changing it to PAL cured all problems.
Thanks for the reply
