Hi all,
I know this issue has been noted elsewhere on this forum but I can't find where or if there is a solution.
Basically I lose audio after 5 - 8 minutes after starting recording with Capwiz. Now it used to work and I haven't changed anything on the PC at all. This has also happened to other users.
ADS support is non existant. I'm running Vista Home premium SP1 on an Intel Core2 Quad Q9550 with 4Gb ram (I know it doesn't use it all) to a 1Tb 7200 hard drive so I'm assuming there is no bottleneck system wise.
If anyone has knowledge of this issue or can suggest a fix, I would be eternally grateful. I'm trying to convert old school drama production videos to DVD so you can see the pressure I'm under![]()
Someone suggested connecting the audio direct to the Linein on the soundcard/motherboard but either I'm doing it wrong or it don't work. If that is the only fix, so be it.

I also have ADS DVDXpressDX2 which worked before but now I lose audio after 6 minutes and 11 seconds during play back of file or DVD. While trouble shooting I was led to Microsoft which stated that problem was bad drivers and suggested I use Driver Detective as a tool to fix problem. It didn't. So I purchased a new sound card (Creative Soundblaster Audigy) but still no help. I downloaded CapWiz Version 3.8.0.12 and still no help. I am running XP home edition with SP3 so I reloaded SP3. No help. I have tried recording from 2 different devices (vcr & dvd player) and got the same results. I only have CapWiz on my computer. I removed Ulead 9.0. I have opened a problem with ADS but don't have much hope of them answering. There are problems open on other sites with the same problem.

I guess that means that ADS will not pursue the conflict between the software and operating system. I have purchased ShowBiz DVD2 and I am right now playing the DVD I created with it and have no more problems.
