Hi, im looking for info on how to rip a dvd and preserve menus, chapter selections etc from an orig dvd which is bigger than a DVD-r.

I already know how to use smartripper etc and have looked at some of the tutorials on here and a few other sites, but none of them tell me exacly how to do this.

What i want to know is, after ripping to hdd, can i then re-encode the main movie down so it will fit on a dvd-r with the extras, then put the re-encoded movie back into the vob structure.
So basicly i have a complete working copy of the orig, but with just sampled down main movie.

Any help, or a pointer to a site with help, on this would be grately appriciated.
