    Hey folks --

    From everything I've read about this player folk claim that this player will not play PAL discs, but I brought some back-ups from a British Comedy series to my mate's who has this player and they worked fine. Is it just a fluke? Or does anyone know better?

    1) The player may not play PAL discs in regions 2-6 as it's a region 1 player, but it can play region free (region 0) PAL discs.
    2) The discs you have are actually NTSC and not PAL.

    It's up to you to figure out which of these happened.

    They are PAL discs, so I guess #1 is the answer.
