In some recent movies I found that all tools reported 2 program chains, chain 2 being the real movie but chain1 being some sort of dummy chain I guess since the playback time reports as follows : Playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 00:00:00.24 / 30 fps ..

Now the DVD contains a VTS_01_0.VOB which contains menu items in the beginning but also the 'Making of' later on in the VOB file.

Non of the tools I tried pick up that trailer (not dvddecrypter, not cladmdec and not smart ripper)... Now I am not an expert but did some digging with the excellent tool ifoedit and after digging found that the trailer is referenced in the VTSM_PGCI_UT table and has a playing time of 9+ minutes and actually those LU_1 entries contain the starting sector (=LBA) and ending sectors of the 'making of'... Again I am not an expert in reading VOB's and finding movie segments , but I think it would be great for smartripper to be able to find those movie segment s and be able to rip them with the smartripper tool....

I have the IFO available for analysis if anyone is interested...

Now the only way I can actually find those movie segments is opening the VOB in dvd2avi and finding the VOB_ID and cell ID.... (This is because most of the tools see the VOB as a menu VOB, and since there is no sound flaskmpeg for example doesn't wanna decode sound eventhough at the end of the VOB ther eis a valid sound stream)
Then I have to run vstrip to find the LBA associated with the VOB id and cell ID's and then vstrip the VOB with starting LBA and end LBA to get the movie segement out of the VOB and then finally I can feed it to flaskmpeg..
