So I do a podcast on the Ustream and I recently decided I want to upload my videos onto Itunes as well. I am having a problem with this. Ustream provides an option to download the videos that I record but they are .FLV files and they pose a problem to me because I have been having a very hard time encoding from .FLV to a format that people can actually use.

I decided that I think another option is to do a dual recording, one in Ustream and another in another program external to the Ustream that can record in a format other than .FLV. For example, I'd like to run a logitech recording program or something simultaneously with the Ustream. The problem is that before, it wouldn't let me send the webcam feeds to more than one program simultaneously. I'd like to figure out a way around this.

Can anybody suggest a method to stream video from my webcams to Ustream while simultaneously recording to my harddrive in a program outside the Ustream? I don't really care if I am able to record on the Ustream or not...

I hope I can get this figured out soon. It's been really frustrating for me lately...and I'd be really grateful just to have any suggestions.

I somehow doubt that a screen capture program is going to be able to capture mixed audio along with the video.

  4. don't think dual capturing will work without rewriting the drivers of the webcam,.. but a short google search showed http://www.thedvshow.com/ustream-flv-to-itunes-mp4/ which might be interesting,..
