I don't see any articles about Blu-Ray & DVD Decrypter. Anyone have any coments about this ripping program. Does it work? Since it is a free program, I'm surprised there are no comparisons to AnyDVD HD which appears to be the only blu-ray ripper mentioned in all the guides here. Seems strange? Even if it is buggy, seems like it should be looked at a truly free method to back up blu-ray.
Here's link to their website:

Clarification:
"Blu-Ray & DVD Decrypter" is the name of the ripping program, not the old classic DVD Decrypter. -

There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway. -

[s:c95589a95b]I have tried the free version for DVD discs but don't own a BD drive yet to test Blu-ray. I may be asking the same question in a month or 2.[/s:c95589a95b]

@gll99 - Please go to the link rather than just making assumptions that are wrong. The original poster is NOT talking about DVDFab HD Decrypter but another program.
That website looks suspicious to me. Install at your own risk. You should be aware that there are no free Blu Ray rippers now because they require constant work to deal with changes to the copy protection. People have to pay developers to keep up with it. The attempts to do it for free have all come to nothing as the developers got tired from having to make major changes to the program for free constantly just to keep up. Even DVDFab says it doesn't remove all Blu Ray protection in the free version. My guess is that the software in question is either a trojan or virus or it's an illegal repackaging of a commercial product. -
Agreed. Looking at the websites own forum there is very little activity. Most of the posts appear to be by the author. There are some more recent but with large gaps. I did take a chance and install it on a "spare" computer. The DVD component appears funtional, but I don't have a blu-ray drive on it. I was curious if anyone had tried it out.

Sorry about that guys.
I was referring to the hot link and the reference to Blu-ray. I clicked on the hot link and it brought me to the DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0 tool link here at vhelp. I didn't need to follow it any further since I know that old tool well.
I see that other link now and it points somewhere else. Sorry for the mixup. There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway. -
Installed and it is freeware, only thing i can try it on is an avchd and it rips it and says no encryption on it.
I think,therefore i am a hamster.
