    Hello everyone,

I am using Windows Media Encoder 9 on Windows Vista Enterprise x86. I am using dual screen mode -- primary/secondary extended mode. My requirement is, I want to use Windows Media Encoder to record only the secondary (extended) screen.

I have used select region function of WME to select the whole screen region of the secondary monitor. But nothing is recorded. I have analyzed the settings for my selection of the whole screen region of the secondary monitor, looks like the width/hight is not correct (too small value makes nothing recorded)? But Actually I have selected the whole secondary screen region, why the width/height value is so small? Here is my screen snapshot. Both my primary and secondary screen are 1024 * 768 resolution (when record full screen, i.e. dual screen, WME displays 2048 * 768).

Any ideas what is wrong and how to record the whole region of the secondary screen?

    thanks in advance,
    George

I'm not sure as I've never used it. But if I had to guess, I'd say it doesn't support recording on the 2nd monitor. It will likely work as advertised on the primary monitor.

What do you mean "work as advertised on the primary monitor"? Could you say in some other words?
