I have no idea what category my problem falls under so I may have to post this in two different ones. I'm trying to transfer video footage from my Panasonic DMR XW350 model (HDTV recorder etc.) to my Mac 10.5.6 Desktop computer directly (ie. through cables or other NOT by re recordable dvd etc.) If anyone knows how this can be done, could you please help![]()

It has no digital output other than HDMI, which I would suggest will be HDCP protected, so it is useless for recording from. The only HD output would be analogue 1080i via component, assuming you have a capable capture system setup on your Mac. These devices are designed specifically so you cannot easily transfer HD footage off them. If you want to do that, you need to get one that has a BluRay recorder built in, not a DVD recorder.
