    Why couldn't they have been happy with Aaron Curry? Their defense was so horrible last year we need somebody who could play right now and every play.

    Here's hoping they go defense the rest of the way in the draft if this turns out to be true.....

    EDIT - and for any NFL fans who don't know why Lions fans DON'T want a quarterback with the first pick - just remember one name - JOEY HARRINGTON. Enough said.....

    Poor Lions fans. Being a born-and-raised Cheesehead I have more sympathy for the Lions than I do the whining Vikings. So at least you aren't a Vikings fan. But I'm still looking forward to 2-0 against your team

    Oh by the way this week has been torture for rabid Red Wings fans like myself. Here we are winning the first round against the Columbus Blue Jackets with an exciting 6-5 game 4 sweep and all they talk about on the sports radio is the NFL DRAFT! This is supposed to be HOCKEYTOWN PEOPLE!

    Oh well I forgive them just this once since it is the no. 1 OVERALL pick. If we had the number 12 pick or something like that I'd be more miffed.

    EDIT - Well at least they went defense in the second round. Unfortunately it was a no namer from Western Michigan. A safety too. Why couldn't they have gotten a name guy like the others?

    Seriously though, I did feel bad for them, especially with them celebrating their 75th season.

    There were worse 0-win teams before.

    And I did like the fact that they did put up a great fight against the Packers in their last game to at least try and end the season with a W. Though completely meaningless for both teams in the standings, the game still had alot of excitement.

    Well, the expansion '76 Bucs going 0-14 were horrendous getting blown out and/or shut-out almost every game. Yeah the '08 Lions sucked big-time, but they at least were competitive in more games and never got shut out. Only the longer season makes them look worse.

    The '76 Bucs would have probably went 0-50 if it went that long.
