Burns sometimes skip past first chapter - ripped w/ DVDFab

I've been using DVDFab for a while, and have used it successfully to make a large number of backups.

Lately I've been experiencing an oddity that has me confused. Like I've always done, I'll do a custom split, creating two .ISO files.

I'll use either Decrypter of DVDFab to burn onto a single layer DVD-R (Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim) and up until now all has been just fine.

The burned disc will play fine on my pc, but every once in awhile (and it is happening more frequently) when I attempt to play in either of my DVD players (Toshiba HD-A3 or Sony 350) the movie will either skip past the first chapter, or not load once the PLAY option is selected from the disc menu.

I've made a lot of successful backups, and I'm not doing anything differently, and I'm using what has been consistently reliable media.

Any ideas?

Could be b/c you're using custom split, and creating two .ISO files.Did you try not splitting and creating just one .ISO? See if that helps...Or is DL media not an option?
FWIW, I use DVDFab Plat , just not to create ISOs....That's why we have Imgburn... 8)

I haven't had an issue with splits before.

I have some DL media, but it's been tough finding decent manufacturers at a good price. I was planning on experimenting with a DL burn to see if that changes things.

It's not tough finding good manufacturers there is no choice!!
Verbatim DL +R, PERIOD!
