I was trying to help my father record from cable to his DVD recorder but he was getting the dreaded copyright flag. We tried a video stabalizer from checkhere22.com which didn't work (though it doesn't purport to work with the flag, only VHS to DVD). He recently purchased a unit from Grex to give it a shot, but for the heck of it, I thought I would try my TBC-1000 to see if it would kill the flag as well and to my surprise it did not work. I just assumed it would work as I believed the flag to be some sort of form of Macrovision or timing instabality, but is it another beast all-together?
