I recently used Wirecast to stream 56 hours of video to YouTube. I also used the Record function to save the entire stream as an MP4, encoded with x264 at 720p. The resulting file is 318 gigabytes. However, I cannot open it or do anything with it because the "moov atom" does not exist. I tried running qtfaststart, which also tells me that the moov atom is not there. Other MP4 recovery software seems to require a sample of working video from the same source--should I attempt to recreate some footage in Wirecast using the same cameras and overlays? Is there any other way to recover my video? Perhaps the size of the file is an issue?

    Thank you.

Tried play with Vlc Media Player?

Have you tried open it in any editor? Like avidemux. If it works you can try save it as a new mp4.

Or try remux it using ffmpeg, from the command line use ffmpeg -i video.mp4 -acodec copy -vcodec copy newvideo.mp4
