I don't know about you but I'm perfectly satisfied making hundreds of little video clips for the internet rather than watching television. I also get my news from the internet.
As you probably have heard, television is soon to be replaced with the internet as the major source of news and entertainment. After all, why should we suffer through news items we're not interested in and countless commercials to watch a single news item? We can simply go to a news site and click. We can see movies instantly without commercials, too.
With hundreds of channels touting sex, violence, and commercials, it's little wonder the internet will soon replace television. Television is too busy watching the other channels to come up with anything creative adding to their demise.
With free digital television signals coming (even HD), dish and cable companies will take a major hit. They will be forced to raise their prices again and again only fueling the rush to the internet...which is perfect IMO.

I don't believe anything I am told any more. I have been lied to for a lot longer than the internet has been around. Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, God(s), UFOs, Eggs, Carbs, Diet Coke. Everything is a lie until you can see it, touch it, taste it.
I don't find YouTube all that entertaining. For the most part it is complete and utter crap. There is a small % of interesting posts on a small range of topics, but most of the rest of it is as interesting as watching monkeys throwing their faeces around (I accept that for fans of the Fox network, this is considered high entertainment).
And much of it is television. Either copied from TV directly and posted in small chunks, or provided by the studios for downloading (Hulu) - if you live in the right country, of course.
Television was meant to kill cinema. It didn't.
VHS was going to kill television. It didn't.
Neither did DVD.
Bluray certainly wont.
And ultimately, TV will simply adapt to the internet.
And suck all the fun out of it.Read my blog here.

But you can depict as many murders as you would like. Seems like a rational trade off...

"More and more"?
Are there still video sites that don't do this?"To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." - Steven Wright

The networks could decide to distribute their products over the internet, VOD or Cell Phone TV, instead of using local stations. Ultimately though, the networks will prevail.
