Ok got a couple of issues as the topic indicates. Nothing major or earth shattering. Nothing that is absolutely urgent as rebooting seems to clear some issues up.

Everynow and than I seem to lose my dvd drives completely. They are internal sata drives (one infact is a lite on bluray rom reader). When I pop in either a commercially pressed dvd or a blank dvdr nothing happens. Then upon rebooting it returns to normal.

Samething with the internal memory card readers (you know the type common on factory spec desktop towers - hp pavillion in my case). However this latest time the memory card readers did not return on reboot. No biggie but annoying at the same time.

Also I have a factory installed dvd burner on the top drive and my bluray rom player I added is on the second slot. For some reason the drive letters are in opposite positions. Meaning the top bay is the second drive letter for the dvd drives. I'd like to switch it around so that the top bay is the first letter. Its not that big of a deal but whenever I burn a disc with Roxio creator basic 9 (came with the pc - decent software) I always have to manually switch the drive as the default shows the bd drive which is actually below the normal dvd drive. If I can switch that in control panel (using Vista Premium 32bit fyi) that would be great. If it involves popping open the case and rerouting the sata cables I can live with it as is. It's not imporntant enough for me to crack the case open if I have to do that.

Anyway these aren't earth shattering problems, just minor annoyances I'd like to resolve. THanks for any advice.

To change drive letters right click My Computer, select Manage, then select Disk Management. Your drives will be listed. Right click and select Change Drive Letter.
I would check your BIOS options and check that you have SATA and IDE selected correctly. IDE native mode SATA depends on if your running raid or normal.
