Many players simply cannot be region hacked....especially big names like Sony.

  3. did you recently buy it, in Denmark?

If so, and I am guessing you are trying to play commercial dvd's in ntsc that are region 1, take it back and get one that cann be hacked , like a Philips.

Also, do not confuse regions and formats. Formats are technical specifications for video display. Regions are arbitrary groupings of countries designed to promote profiteering amongst movie studios. Making a player region free does not, alter it's ability to play different formats. If a player is NTSC only, adding the ability to play region 2 or 4 does not mean it will also play PAL discs. In fact, both Region 2 and Region 4 have PAL and NTSC releases (although R4 rarely has both of the same disc).

Most PAL players are multi-format by design, so you will rarely have an issue playing NTSC discs.

From what I can see, there is no soft mod for this player. If you want it region free then you have to have it hardware modified. The only recommended dealer for this change I could find is here : http://www.jvbdigital.nl/
