  1. SKY HD or FreesatHD...which is best?

FreesatHD only has TWO HD channels and only if in ENGLAND..
SKY HD claims to have 30 but at £10 per month and to get em all you need a full movie and sports subscription

    whats others thoughts?

we currently have SKY (sd) with 4/6 packages (no movies no sports) - so only extra HD channels is History , Natgeo , Discovery , BBC , ITV , CH4 , SKY 1 HD and a few more - the rest upscaled by the SKY HD+ box

also - is which is the best upscaler of non-HD channels? SKY-HD reciever or Foxsat's FreesatHD reciever?

  2. SKyHD is far better BUT Freesat is non subscription so get Sky, NO, get freesat..NO ! suits you sir.. Get neither... as FReeView HD is coming out this autumn 2009. You already have SkyHD anyway..
Possibility of NAT GEo coming to freeview subscription.. all very hush hush atm.

  5. Freesat HD is a bit of a disappointment, with only selected BBC and ITV shows/movies broadcast in HD.

Channel 4 are apparently stuck in a contract with Sky as far as HD is concerned, but have said that they will "eventually" make an appearance on Freesat.

I have a feeling that Freeview HD will be no better than Freesat HD, so at the moment the best HD option is Sky (unfortunately).
