There are sites who try very hard to protect their videos from being easily copied, downloaded.

The video does not load. There's nothing to save.

If you can watch the video, try to use Replay Media Catcher.
I was going to do it, but the video never would load in either FF3 or IE8.

  5. I was able to view the video with an unprotected XP SP3 system and IE7 running in a VM. Replay Media Catcher was not able to save the file. It reported "SWF Verification detected -- Sorry, these RTMP connections are not allowed to be analyzed." Many streaming video sites are now requiring secure players that will not allow downloads. I suspect the only thing you can do is use screen capture software.

    Success.

It plays. In Firefox and IE7. Perhaps the Lord Smurf had too much protection going on. I did have to click on the NoScript blocking icon in Firefox.

However capturing it was a bit more difficult. Orbit Downloader and Flashget both failed in Firefox. So I went to the Blue E in the quick launch where Orbit can use a tool called Grab Pro, no idea why it only works in Internet Explorer nor why its called Pro since its free. That worked. Mostly. The file crashed KMPlayer but VLC plays it, as long as I don't click on the navigation bar to skip on a bit, something I have run into with other .flv files on occasion. Perhaps a trip through AVIdemux might fix it.

Actually it crashed it on the first try, not surprising since it was showing an exciting green screen. I have always been thrilled with that mono-color green, the subtle nature of it gives me a thrill. Time to fricassee. A newer version of AVIdemux is available, so download, reinstall and reify.

Green was once my favorite color.

Well I captured it anyway and plays on VLC. Maybe I will try Vdub with a .flv filter. Maybe someone else will think of something clever in their spare time.

Nice find. I downloaded the episode with Orbit/GrabPro and it played fine with MPCHC. I was able to seek, though rather slowly.
