I'm new to this site and I had a few questions. I have recently connected my cable box to my laptop via firewire and I believe I have it loaded correctly on my laptop, but when I use the program capDVHS, when I try to record, I get the error message "cannot open output file."

Does this mean I don't have the cable box loaded on my laptop, or is there something else I'm missing?

Any info would help.
