    Hi,

Im currently in the process of ripping the few blu-ray movies I have to x264 mkv, in order to place them on XBMC setup.

I'm using tsMuxer to rip the audio stream. I've found on a couple of Discs that there seems to be no DTS or DTS-HD that could be downsampled to DTS. (ie: Oceans 11, 12 and 13)

Am I missing something? Shouldn't all blu-rays contain some sort of DTS/HD audio?

    regards,
    delirial

    No.

I own four bluray movies. 3 have dts/hd audio 1 does not.

    The three that do are:

Xmen 3 - The Last Stand
    Stargate (the Kurt Russell version)
Stargate Continuum - the second direct to video release of the sg1 tv crew

I also own Final Fantasy the Sprits Within. This DOES NOT have DTS hd/audio. It has PCM 5.1 audio then dolby digital in English and French.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

  3. The only requirement(which is the same as DVD) is Blu-ray must have LPCM or DD.
One title I rented the other day(The Strangers) only had a DTS-MA track which was odd because not all players and AVR's can decode DTS-MA.
BTW:The Strangers sucked, the plot and PQ were awful but the audio was awesome.

Here is a primer on the different audio codecs:
