Making a Coby DVD-298 Region Free

Does anyone know how to make a Coby DVD 298 player region free? I havn't bought it yet, but it is available at 'Best Buy' here in Canada. Will yoou also confirn if it will play PAL as well as NTSC recordings.

hello there, I need the code to make this player Region free, too... so what did Coby USA say ... ???
Seems to be a nice player : pal/ntsc, plays DVD DL (!!!!), plays USB and SD cards, ... for 60$,... just need the code to make it region free and it will be the best player !

No, Chipsndukes is being an ass. He deliberately didn't tell you. I'll give you 3 possible reasons why.
1) He is lying about hacking it.
2) He is too stupid to remember what was done to make it region free.
3) He is an ass who wants you to waste your money by calling yourself.

Anything is possible I suppose, but let's just say that I find it highly doubtful that Coby will simply tell you over the phone what to do given how almost every manufacturer on the planet is bending over backwards to cater to Hollywood by making players that can't be made region free anymore.
