Are you using 'Free Download Manager 2.3.0.1275'? Defender seems to target some of it's files with that alert. I have Defender on three Vista computers at present and it has yet to find any malware. I have doubts that it does much of anything.
I use Avast, SpyBot, SpyWare Blaster and Comodo firewall instead and they do find malware.
