    I have a Philips DVDR3575H and I want to record onto the harddrive from three different forms;

    - My Camcorder.
    - My Canon camera
    - from my VHS player.

    What are the best ways to record from these, in other words what connections should I use and how should I go about recording onto the harddrive?

    Thanks,

    Your options are limited to the available inputs of the recorder and the outputs of your devices. Connection types (for generic video), in order from best to worst, HDMI/DVI - component (red/green/blue RCA) - S-Video - coax - composite (yellow RCA). Some recorders also offer Firewire or USB which may be useful for some cameras. Regardless, as noted earlier, you will be restricted by the type of connections the units have in common.
