I've been using DVDSVCD to rip with internal routines and encode (CCE) for about 6 mos. Recently I reformatted and did a clean install of XP pro and my original hardware setup. I have installed aspi 4.60 and my liteon 163 is set to dma mode 2. For some reason now I cannot rip my dvds to the HDD without initializing the dvd first with windvd. Though this is a small issue, it's gets irritating having to intitialize first before ripping. I've tried installing aspi 4.71 and still no joy. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.
